What is SIRE?

Foreigner Registration Information System

SIRE is the official system of Migration Colombia for registering foreign guests in accommodation establishments. It is mandatory for all hotels, hostels, tourist apartments, and other accommodation service providers in Colombia.

The Foreigner Registration Information System (SIRE) is a digital platform managed by the Special Administrative Unit Migration Colombia. Its purpose is to maintain an updated registry of all foreigners who enter and stay in Colombian territory.

Foreign registration is regulated by:

Decree 1067 of 2015

Establishes the obligation of tourism service providers to report to Migration Colombia.

Resolution 3167 of 2019
